Privacy policy

Merkafri ("we", "us") operates an economic intelligence product focused on African market prices. This policy describes how we handle personal data for the website and pilot services. A Portuguese translation will ship before Pro billing in Angola.

Who we are

What we collect

• Account data — if you sign in (email, name from your provider or credentials). Used to deliver sessions, saved views, and future Pro features.
• Community price submissions — product, price, location, date, and optional notes. These are operational market observations, not marketing profiles.
• Technical data — standard server logs, cookies required for authentication, and analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics) to understand traffic.

Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Contract (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (securing the product, improving reliability), and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies when we add a banner).

Retention

Price records support long-term research value; account data is kept while your account is active and for a short period after deletion for abuse prevention. Detailed retention tables will align with MERKAFRI_SPEC_v2 before scale.

Your rights

Depending on jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data. Email almoises@elobiz.app. We will respond within statutory timelines.

Processors

Infrastructure and tooling may include hosting (e.g. Vercel), email (e.g. Resend), and payment (e.g. Stripe). We use processors under appropriate agreements.
